My name is Olivia Boorom, MS, CCC-SLP (she/her) and I'm a speech-language pathologist and PhD candidate in Speech-Language-Hearing at the University of Kansas. My research focuses on early communication skills in people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who are nonspeaking. My line of research seeks to understand how dyadic interactions can be leveraged to support communication outcomes in nonspeaking people and to identify novel methods for measuring communication skills in this population. 

I am currently seeking both post-doctoral fellowship and tenure-track faculty positions to continue my line of research and grow my expertise in early communication development in IDD.
